BCW is a well-known supplier of comic book bags and boards, allowing comic book collectors to keep their precious comics, safe from folds, tears or small children staining in the spaces between the boards. But right now there’s a bit of drought in the comic book bags. Bleeding Cool noted that DCBS burned theirs when it came to distributing rare multi-tiered comic book cover variations to stores under the Lunar Distribution name. BCW’s website states that they are only orders taken for delivery in February 2022.
The pandemic, closings and closings sparked a boom in comic book collection, with demand increasing even as supply dwindling for a time, resulting in higher prices being asked – and paid. And people must have a way to store their newly acquired shiny comic, shining brand new holes in their hearts. The demand for bags has therefore increased, just as shipments from China and other places have declined – or have been interrupted.
Bags and boards are in demand by comic book publishers and sellers, especially with premium items. Could this bonus increase in value as a result? And is there any chance that with the new rarity and rarity the comic book sellers decide to skip the comic entirely and just collect… the bags? Right now, comic book bags that are tripling in value might be the perfect fit for some people to overwinter them …
