The anime and manga versions of A piece go to the War For Wano arc with Luffy getting major power-ups in both adaptations. A fan of the core title took this as a way to show off their creativity and love for the series as they reimagine how Gear Fifth would come to life with animation that’s sure to have everyone excited for what’s next.

On Twitter, one artist, @Kiecaburn, shared his imagination of what Gear Fifth would look like once it comes back to life. His art recreates one of Luffy’s major moments in the War For Wano arc in his new transformation with lightning bolts around him so he can battle Kaido who is in his almighty dragon form.

To date, Gear Fifth is Luffy’s strongest form allowing him to increase in size and transform at will. Luffy can even influence the environment around him by turning rubber objects to counter Kaido who also has the ability to grow and shrink. Luffy catches a daring lightning bolt to attack Kaido and it’s one of the greatest battles in the entire history of A piece.

Gear Fifth has yet to appear in the anime adaptation of A piece but this is building up to the release of Luffy’s strongest form yet. Fans even refer to this point in the show as “Roof Piece”. Since the battle with Kaido is expected to be one of the greatest battles in the history of A piecesurely Luffy’s Gear Fifth will make an impressive entrance.

A piece is a Japanese manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It was first released in July 1997 and is currently published in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine, Weekly Shōnen Jump, and Viz Media. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates as they search for the legendary treasure known as “One Piece” that would earn Luffy the title of Pirate King.
