Old school otaku, rejoice! Fan favorite anime series TRIGON will be reborn as a new anime series in 2023 titled TRIGUN STAMPEDEproduced by Orange (BEASTARS) with an all-new crew and cast. Crunchyroll will simultaneously broadcast the series from Japan to more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
TRIGON is a popular action manga series by Yasuhiro Nightow that follows the story of Vash the Stampede, a legendary shooter and pacifist with a bounty on his head. His original 1998 anime series and 2010 feature film, Trigun: Badlands Rumbleachieved worldwide popularity and inspired many creators.
The latest information on TRIGUN STAMPEDE will be announced at Anime Fair 2022 in Los Angeles during a panel hosted by Crunchyroll, Saturday, July 2 at 8:00 p.m. PT at the JW Marriott Hotel. The show’s creator and producers are expected to appear on stage to discuss the series and behind-the-scenes production.
Panelists alongside Yasuhiro Nightow will include:
- Koji Tajima (designate)
- Kiyotaka Waki (producer, Orange)
- Yoshihiro Watanabe (producer, Orange)
- Katsuhiro Takei (producer, Toho).
Along with tonight’s announcement, the official TRIGUN STAMPEDE website (trigun-anime.com) and official Twitter account (@trigun_anime) also launched.
Japanese animation studio Orange Limited Inc. produced the hit shows BEASTARS, singular point of Godzilla and Land of the Brilliant. Under the leadership of CEO and Chief Animator Eiji Inomoto, Orange is dedicated to bringing unique and quality animation experiences to the world.
Fans can learn more about the outfit during its dedicated Anime Expo presentation, Orange Presents: Studio Panel on July 3 at 4:15 p.m. (Rm. 403AB).
